About the shop
We took on the
work nobody
else wanted.
Primo Auto Care is a full-service repair shop on 126 Ave NW in Edmonton. What sets us apart is what we said yes to: electrical faults, airbag and SRS systems, and air conditioning — the three areas most shops quietly decline.

Why we specialize
“Sorry, we don’t
do electrical.”
If you own a vehicle long enough in this city, you’ll hear that sentence. Not because the shop can’t hold a meter — because electrical work doesn’t fit how a busy garage likes to run. A brake job is a known part and a known time. A battery that drains over a long weekend is an unknown number of hours with no part to point at until you find it.
So the work gets declined, and it goes down the road to the next shop, which declines it too. We’ve met plenty of people on their third or fourth stop, carrying a folder of receipts for parts that didn’t fix anything.
We decided to be the end of that chain instead of another link in it. That meant investing in the diagnostic equipment, the wiring information, and — mostly — the patience to trace a circuit properly. Airbag and SRS systems came with it, because those are electrical faults with lives attached. So did air conditioning, where half the “no cold air” complaints turn out to be a relay or a sensor rather than refrigerant.
The rest of the shop grew around that: an alignment machine, a body shop, insurance work, and a licence to perform provincial inspections. Because the person whose airbag light we fixed also needs brakes in the spring, and would rather not start over somewhere new.

How we work
Four things we hold to. They’re not marketing lines — they’re how the shop is run.
You approve before we proceed
You hear what we found and what it costs before anything is replaced. No work happens on the assumption you’d have said yes.
We test, we don’t guess
A trouble code names a circuit, not a broken part. Swapping parts until the light goes out is expensive for you and lazy for us.
We say when it isn’t worth it
Sometimes the honest answer is that the repair costs more than the vehicle is worth. You’ll hear that from us, even though it costs us the job.
We fix the cause
Not the symptom. We won’t clear an SRS code and call it repaired, and we won’t top up an A/C system that we know is leaking.
One address
Most shops send
you somewhere
else eventually.
The mechanic doesn’t do body work. The body shop doesn’t do alignments. Neither of them touches electrical, and the inspection place hands you a list of failures to take somewhere else. You end up project-managing your own vehicle repair across three businesses.
Everything below is in our building. That’s not a boast about size — it’s about the number of times you have to explain your problem to a stranger.
- Electrical diagnosis and repair
- Airbag and SRS systems
- A/C and climate control
- Licensed inspections — out of province and salvage
- Wheel alignments on our own machine
- Auto body and collision repair
- Insurance claims handled with your adjuster
- Accessories sold and installed
- General repair and maintenance
